El Centro, Cleveland Clinic Outpatient Clinic

El Centro, Cleveland Clinic Outpatient Clinic is now open to the public (via appointment only) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 4:00. Some of the services that will be provided are adult annual wellness exams, women’s health, Medicare wellness exam, chronic disease management, acute care, etc. Please call 440-282- 9828 or 440-204-7400 to make an appointment.

Front Door Locked Until Further Notice

Due to COVID-19 cases, El Centro’s front door will remain locked until further notice. We thank all of you for the support and understanding during this time that we are forced to offer the services in untraditional ways.

For the month of August, we will continue providing services virtually, by phone and by appointment only.

If services are needed and you need to come to the office, we encourage you to call the office first (440-277-8235) to receive the new procedure for office visits.

COVID Care Team Booking Vaccination Appointments

El Centro’s COVID Care Team is now able to book first, second and booster COVID-19 vaccination appointments in partnership with Lorain County Public Health. To register, please call 440-240-7064 to speak to a member of the COVID Care Team. This service is available in both English and Spanish.

Bilingual Financial Education and First time Homebuyer Classes

Bilingual Financial Education and First-Time Homebuyer Classes - These classes will help to improve financial literacy to the residents of Lorain County. El Centro will offer future homebuyers two courses (four hours per class) focused on: Financial Recovery (Credit Repair) and Money Matters (Budgeting & Saving) to prepare participants on the homebuying process. El Centro “Drive Thru” Mobile Food Pantry

El Centro “Drive Thru” Mobile Food Pantry in collaboration with Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio will be at Oakwood Park from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm or until the food runs out. Income eligible households (below 200% of the poverty level) are given one box of food and multiple bags of fresh vegetables on a first-come, first-served basis – FREE. Photo ID and proof of residency required. Volunteers will place the items in your trunk (be sure to have your trunk empty).

The Grind League

The Grind League, whose mission contains community aid awareness information, food drives, and hosting sporting events, and other activities, will be hosting a Community Togetherness Fest 3 on 3 basketball tournament from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm both days at Oakwood Park basketball courts. To participate in or provide donations/volunteer, contact Darius Winborn at 216-414-6853 (flyer attached).

Avanzando Through College

Avanzando Through College is a 2-semester program at Lorain County Community College that helps first-generation Latino students to navigate the college system. The program begins the fall semester, and students will participate in special events, peer mentoring, and academic support activities. Connect to a Cause

Connect to a Cause – The Community Foundation of Lorain County is hosting a Connect to a Cause Day and El Centro will be participating in this important crowdfunding campaign. The event will take place from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Please consider supporting El Centro by visiting www.peoplewhocare.org or www.lorainelcentro.org by selecting El Centro from the organization list and making a donation. If your preference is to send a donation by mail, it must be postmarked by September 15th and indicate that it is in support of the Connect to a Cause for El Centro (flyer attached).
