El Centro, Cleveland Clinic Outpatient Clinic

El Centro, Cleveland Clinic Outpatient Clinic is now open to the public (via appointment only) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 4:00. Some of the services that will be provided are adult annual wellness exams, women’s health, Medicare wellness exam, chronic disease management, acute care, etc. Please call 440-282- 9828 or 440-204-7400 to make an appointment.

Front Door Locked Until Further Notice

Due to COVID-19 cases, El Centro’s front door will remain locked until further notice. We thank all of you for the support and understanding during this time that we are forced to offer the services in untraditional ways.

For the month of December we will continue providing services virtually, by phone and by appointment only.

If services are needed and you need to come to the office, we encourage you to call the office first (440-277-8235) to receive the new procedure for office visits.

COVID Care Team Booking Vaccination Appointments

El Centro’s COVID Care Team is now able to book first, second and booster COVID-19 vaccination appointments in partnership with Lorain County Public Health. To register, please call 440-240-7064 to speak to a member of the COVID Care Team. This service is available in both English and Spanish.

El Centro “Drive Thru” Mobile Food Pantry

El Centro “Drive Thru” Mobile Food Pantry in collaboration with Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio will be at Oakwood Park from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm or until the food runs out. Income eligible households (below 200% of the poverty level) are given one box of food and multiple bags of fresh vegetables on a first-come, first-served basis – FREE. Photo ID and proof of residency required. Volunteers will place the items in your trunk (be sure to have your trunk empty).

WISE Pathways

January 3-18 2023

WISE Pathways is a FREE hands-on program offered by Lorain County Community College, in partnership with Hard Hatted Women (HHW) Ohio, that provides women with detailed information about careers in advanced manufacturing that offer good pay & benefits with opportunities for advancement. The program will be held on LCCC's main campus from January 3-18, 2023. Women participating can earn the ToolingU Certified Manufacturing Associate Credential, an industry-recognized certification. Bilingual Financial Education and First-Time Homebuyer Classes: January/February 2023 (dates to be announced)

Bilingual Financial Education and First-Time Homebuyer Classes - These classes will help to improve financial literacy to the residents of Lorain County. El Centro will offer future homebuyers two courses (four hours per class) focused on: Financial Recovery (Credit Repair) and Money Matters (Budgeting & Saving) to prepare participants on the homebuying process. Christmas Luncheon with Santa

Each year, El Centro hosts a Christmas Luncheon with Santa for seniors in our El Dorado Program and the Giving Tree for selected children. If you would like to donate or adopt a senior or child for these events, please call El Centro at 440-277-8235.

Free Citizenship Classes

Free Citizenship Classes will be held Saturdays at El Centro from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. These classes are in collaboration with students from Oberlin College, with free childcare provided.
